Though Jisai refuses at first, the neighbour who helped him raise Kojiro - who also a 14-year-old daughter - eventually convinces the old swordsman to fight Fudo. Jisai is offered by the townspeople to kill master Fudo who is terrorising the town - among other things he forces the villagers to send their daughters to him as soon as they turn 14.
